I shouldn't tell too many about our room at Copthorne as you will all want to stay here, then I won't be able to get a room!!
Very friendly, helpful staff on checking in at 9pm, lovely room upstairs with large king bed, with chocolates on the pillow, really comfy with nice range of pillows, the bath was really nice, can watch TV at same time if you want. 
Swimming Pool and spa pool down stairs, will definately come back. I recommend Spending a bit more and stay in king bedroom, have stayed in double, no comparison.

This has to be the best airport hotel I have stayed in in NZ. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and restful-just what we needed before a long flight to the UK. My teenage sons and I liked in particular the pool-again nothing fancy but perfectly adequate to stretch and the Jacuzzi was a welcome attraction. Most memorable were the free hotel transfers to the airport and to the nearby Antarctica centre (we got free entry as part of a hotel package). As an aside this would be the only way I would visit the Antarctica centre-all very nice but as a resident in NZ who can see the real thing (snow, penguins etc) really nothing spectacular. Other things worth of note are the bar and restaurant-very comfortable and welcoming. Food very good and the wine selection excellent.

Stayed April 2014, travelled with family

Check in super efficient and staff absolutely lovely.
Had a nice jacuzzi and swim just after we arrived, didn't expect the hotel to have the facilities so was a nice surprise!
Room very comfortable, very clean and very well maintained. Decor looks a tiny bit dated in style but, to be honest, we really didn't book this place to stay in a fancy boutique hotel so who cares.
Drank in the bar, again staff go out of their way and very welcoming, warm and friendly. The couple of complimentary drinks given to new guests is a nice touch too.
Recommend, oh and it's a stones throw to the airport, which was great for us as we left for a 645am flight back to Oz!
